Etiquette In air travel – boarding, during flight, disembarkation and waiting for luggage
Air travel etiquette is relatively simple. Look around, and most passengers immediately follow the unwritten etiquette. One must follow the Golden Rule. Treat everyone the way you want to be treated.
golden rule It is the principle of treating others the way one would like to be treated. This is sometimes called the ethic of reciprocity, meaning that one should treat others as one would want to be treated (not necessarily the same way they actually should be treated). Various expressions of this law can be found in the doctrines of most religions and sects throughout history.

Say “Hello” to fellow travelers – it’s just common courtesy.
Don’t be so concerned about your own comfort that you forget about others. Wear a noise-canceling headset after taking your seat. This way you can hear others asking you to move.
Board in your right group. Southwest solved this problem by installing stanchions in the boarding area. Other airlines depend on courtesy.
Move out of the way when you reach the line. Try to be prompt in reaching your seat. Generally, there are people behind you.
Don’t forget to tip wheelchair assistants. These people get minimum wage. Be sure to give them a small increase in pay by tipping at least $5 or $10 or equivalent.

Stay within your limits. Don’t spread it. If the flight offers the ability to pay for an extra seat, accept the airline’s offer. You will receive a refund if all seats are not taken.
Who gets an armrest? It is always the middle seat.
No bare feet.
Do not cut toe nails. This is one of the most disgusting acts.
Before taking your seat, check with the person sitting behind you. Treat them the way you want to be treated.
Do not talk to others on speaker phone. Don’t yell on the phone. If your phone or game is noisy, use headphones.
Don’t drink too much alcohol.

If you have a connecting flight, let the flight attendant know so they can help you get off faster.
Plane landing row by row. This makes it easier for everyone to get off the plane.
Please do not try to run towards the front of the plane. See above.
If you’ve placed your carry-on in the overhead bin behind you, wait until there’s a break in the line of passengers deboarding the plane to collect your luggage.

Stand back from the baggage delivery belt. Give everyone space to find and retrieve their checked luggage.
When you see your bag, move to the belt and remove your items immediately.
