According to the FAA, the brief suspension was caused by an outage that disrupted air traffic control systems. The issue prompted the airport to halt all flight movements until normal communication and coordination was restored.
Airport officials said technical teams immediately resolved the problem, allowing flight operations to resume shortly. Los Angeles World Airports (LAWA), which operates LAX, confirmed that services returned to normal after the system was stabilized, AviationA2Z reported.
LAX handles approximately 1,500 daily flights for major carriers including Delta Air Lines, American Airlines and United Airlines. It is the fourth-busiest airport globally by passenger traffic and the second-busiest airport in the United States.
