Top hotel facilities that passengers really want when choosing housing

In a pole, we asked the passengers what they are the top hotel facilities during the booking.

Each week we ask our readers what they think about important issues. Earlier this month, we asked him what his top hotel facilities would be. I often wonder whether free breakfast and free parking have led the list of most discovered features or whether the pet-friendly rooms will be more important for passengers. Did the guests want to save the money and had coffee or a mini-reefriger in his room?

I was surprised by this answer: “We want free wifi” #1 came in #1. I was surprised, because for me, WiFi is not a feature. This is a utility. For me, WiFi is basic as electricity and water.

Here is the real question. It was sent to more than 12,000 readers over a week period. This poll asked about the basics. For example, we did not include the gym/workout room or swimming pool. As we became more specific, the percentage for each amenity fell. There are big three internet, granting breakfast and free parking.

Do you always want to provide your hotel?

  • Free Wifi 26%
  • Honor Breakfast 24%
  • Free parking 24%
  • Room refrigerator, microwave and/or coffee maker 16%
  • Airport shuttle 10%

Free WiFi is given with dramatic differences in speed and security.

Be careful. Many hotels provide free WiFi in their literature. However, there is sharp, faster and very slow WiFi. Many hotels do not give tests to join zoom calls and download files. Some hotels do not provide enough bandwidth to stream video and brow Facebook. How fast is a good question. Remember, the Internet is a utility for most hotel guests. It should be treated like water or electricity. However, this is not especially in some houses abroad and domesticly in some houses.

According to USA Today, in the coverage of Hotel WiFi, they have a minimum of 25 Mbps. According to the author, Christopher Elliott, in 25 Mbps, you get a consistent experience and may join a zoom call when downloading a file from Slack. This will allow you to watch HD TV while updating the app on your phone or while browsing Facebook.

The speed of WiFi usually does not contain 25 Mbps in the hotel. Tom Patton, founder of a consumer broadband site, says, “at least 25 Mbps (megabits) per second, and ideally higher,” says Tom Patton, founder of a consumer broadband site. “Do not let them get away with saying that ‘it will be faster,” as it can be quite subjective.

It takes more than speed.

How many connections will you be allowed? How many other guests will be for a connection? If you have a teenager, you will need more bandwidth, guarantee. Scene Guayin, a frequent passenger and director of site internet consultant, says that you should consider the number of devices used in each hotel room.

Elliot, which travels with his family of teenagers worldwide, uses a personal hotspot. He asks for a room near a hotspot so that his connection speed can be as soon as possible. Even better, is buying a hotspot from your web provider. Some providers allow you to disconnect your home WiFi and use hotspots while traveling.

Another tip is always to read the hotel review. Most mention the Internet. Avoid houses that do not mention the web.

Breakfast in the form of an apology.

Again, some breakfast contains a cilophen-lipted roll and a bad cup coffee. Others will offer the seats and grains selection. The best is an omelette station, freshly-made pancakes and french toast, and snacks with much more. Here, just to say that you want a complimentary breakfast, not saying much, or it can say a lot. It depends on what you expect.

Some hotel chains are now having free breakfast for elite members of their loyal programs. My favorite embassy is breakfast in suites that includes for all. Get ready for the best buffet buffet and a wonderful omelet bar. Finish your breakfast with fresh fruits and juice. Many chain hotels are owned by franchisees. Not all participate in free breakfast deals. First check to ensure that they provide free breakfast for all guests.

Of course, don’t forget B&BS. Many of these establishments are known for their breakfast. Do not have a magical snack in a fancy B&B. Again, check reviews to get good and up -to -date breakfast information.

The parking involved in your room rate is for a real hotel

I live in Arlington, Virginia, so the easiest thing for me is to check Google and look for hotels with free parking. There are many lists. Of course, it is not the city of New York, where free parking is also not on the amenity list. But, for the most US, there are good houses offering free parking. In big cities, forget. But, only a small taxi, train, bus, or metro away, passengers can find good spots to park.

Heck, some folk drives to New York City or Chicago and hope to find free parking with hotel rooms. But, if it exists, it can be found on the Internet. Often, in the largest cities of the country, deeper concessional parking can also be found.

Another tip: Many hotels near airports have parking deals for guests who spend one night before leaving for their hotel. If you need space to park for a week or more, these hotels may be a godgent.
