An American Airlines flight made an emergency landing at the duals airport due to a reported fire.
An American Airlines Phoenix-Bound Flight from Washington-Filadelphia was forced to land at the Washington Dualus International Airport after a passenger fire.
In a statement, the airline said that a crew member saw smoke from “customer’s device”, but refused to specify what kind of device it could be.
“The device was quickly absorbed by the crew members before landing,” said an airline spokesman.
The FAA told Phoenix television station KPNX that the flight 357 was on the way to the Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport.
American Airlines said the flight landed safely on Saturday around 11:50 am, with 160 passengers and six crew members on the board.
Emergency personnel met the aircraft when he landed and helped closure the passengers and the crew.
